Macy Obringer is a Freshman and current homeschool student through Grace Brethren High School in Simi Valley, CA. She is a member of the National High School Rodeo Association and competes in the California High School Rodeo Association with District 7. This is her first year competing in rodeo and her third time out tying goats at the CHSRA rodeo in Santa Maria, CA. She is riding “Ice”, an 8 year old grade quarter horse gelding.

Macy has done show jumping, cheer, soccer, and plans to try out for the High school swim team in the spring. She is a Christian with a big heart for others and has done work with at-risk youth and horses with her family. She helps her parents run a 20 acre horse boarding facility and has recently started team sorting as well. Macy understands the importance of wearing a helmet and has seen friends get injured. She hopes that her example in rodeo will encourage more kids to do the same.
