Troxel Announces Partnership with National Little Britches Rodeo Association and Team Troxel Program
Mt Hope, OH – February, 2019 – Troxel LLC, the worldwide leader in ASTM/SEI-certified equestrian helmets and the National Little Britches Rodeo Association is pleased to announce a renewed sponsorship for the 2019 NLBRA season. The NLBRA is the only national youth rodeo association offering competition events for athletes ages 5-19. With the breadth of age groups and variety of events, the partnership between the two brands is a natural fit. “We are really seeing an increase in helmet use in the younger demographics. As the information on head trauma grows and parents desire to explore preventative options increases, helmets are becoming more accepted in the rodeo arena. The trend really started to grow in barrel racing and now we are seeing it expand into the other equine timed events including goat tying and roping,” says Ginger Myers, Brand Director for the NLBRA. For the young men, the Troxel design team is also creating styles directed towards the timed event end of the arena as well.
Driven by the desire to unify this movement, Troxel and the NLBRA created a very special program exclusive to Little Britches members, the NLBRA Team Troxel. Along with World Champion Barrel Racer Fallon Taylor, both organizations wanted to offer an opportunity to recognize NLBRA members who make the choice to wear equestrian helmets. “It’s not always easy to step outside the lines and wear a helmet in rodeo. We wanted a way to bring these young athletes together who compete in a helmet and offer them an opportunity to be part of the helmet movement and win some awesome awards while doing so.” said Jenny Beverage, Troxel Brand Manager. The NLBRA Team Troxel has been created to do just that!
NLBRA members can nominate themselves for NLBRA Team Troxel by pledging to wear an ASTM/SEI certified equestrian helmet at all NLBRA events upon their self-nomination onto the team. NLBRA Team Troxel nominations will be taken on www.nlbra.com from March 1 – April 15, 2019 under the membership tab. Points earned during NLBRA events will start to accumulate once your NLBRA Team Troxel helmet wearing pledge is received. Upon joining NLBRA Team Troxel, members will receive a Troxel sponsor shirt patch pack, special gift and substantial discount code for a new Troxel helmet. Members of NLBRA Team Troxel will compete to win over 40 division year- end prizes and 5 all around awards based on points earned while competing during the 2019 NLBRA season.
