My New Helmet

I've worn a Troxel since they became available in my area; probably the late 90's. I've banged them around a bit but I've never destroyed one. On Thursday night I totally wrecked my Intrepid.

I bought it in April. When the horse I was riding tripped at the canter I was launched forward and I hit the pillar of a jump standard with my head. I would like to thank Troxel for the fact that I am still alive. I went to the ER to be checked out and was released several hours later. I'm bruised but nothing is broken.

Judging from the damage to the inside of the helmet, the accident could have been devastating and final. I have included a picture of the inside of the helmet showing how the inside is completely cracked from back to front. It's amazing that the helmet absorbed all that impact. Thank you for everything.
