Just a quick story regarding the Capriole helmet...the narrower profile was just what we needed. It fit perfectly. We purchased the helmet on August 11, 2003. This Saturday, our daughter had a scary spill from her lesson pony. The pony's hoof struck her in the head at the base of her skull, in the exact spot previously left exposed. Her Capriole helmet completely protected her and she only suffered a mild headache. The helmet did not fare as well. It is cracked in the width of a pony hoof and indented as well.
We are very thankful that Troxel makes a helmet that fits our unique daughter. Without this model of helmet, our daughter would have been severely injured. Please don't stop making the narrower profile helmet.
