I am alive today because I was wearing a Troxel Laredo Duratec helmet on November 6, 2006. I suffered a basal skull fracture, amnesia, broken nose, two
bulging cervical discs and a concussion along with general abrasions and contusions.I was riding my horse when I was involved in a high-speed impact accident.
The brunt of the injury occurred to my head. Were it not for the helmet I would have been killed due to the force of the impact. I have always worn a Troxel
helmet and always will.
I had never fallen off my horse in the 15 years I've owned him. We've done parades, drill team, 100 mile trail rides and just fun rides with no incidents. I
have been so pleased with my helmet I bought one for my grand-daughter too. Hers is the adjustable type. Ironically just weeks before the accident I had
tossed the original boxes and papers for both helmets!
