In 2008 I was riding a green horse(wearing my troxel helmet) that when you asked for the canter she would panic and want to run off. I fell off her my head smacked right on the fence post and a slammed hard into the ground. I got back up feeling confident to attempt this again(stupid idea) and I fell again smacking my head on the ground but this time when I got up I saw a purple hue and felt queasy. I went to the hospital. Doctors told me i suffered a very very mild concussion and if it wasn’t for the helmet I would have most definitely suffered a serious head injury. because of Troxel’s helmet I am able to still ride. it was a scary experience. I always wear a helmet and I love Troxel’s brands, it’s like wearing a seat belt. I feel naked with out my helmet or seat belt. (when I smacked my head on the ground and on the fence post the helmet absorbed a lot of impact. I am so grateful for this.— Thanks troxel
Thank you for your post! Helmets involved in an impact are compromised. If you at any time in the future find yourself involved in a fall, please do not resume riding until you have a helmet that is new or non-impacted.
