Head First into a Tree

While riding my Paint Horse, Fritz, in Shawnee National Forest in southern Illinois, he tripped going over a log on the trail and fell. Fritz went completely down on his left side hurling me into a large tree head first. I wasn’t injured except for a little stiffness. I always wear my Troxel helmet, and I am sure I would have had a head injury if I had not had a helmet. Then two days later, my other horse, Tucker, tripped over his own feet and fell with me going off again. This time I fractured a rib but again no head injury. Thanks, Troxel
