My Helmet Saved My Life

Hi, my name is Carissa and I am 10 years old and very thankful for my Troxel Helmet. I was riding my horse who is about 17 hands high and was in our arena. I am a new rider and started to lope for the first time. I got scared and he started to go faster and I fell off hitting the railroad tie with my head and face at a dead run.

I hit the side of my head and my helmet protected my head. It cracked my helmet but it saved my life. As it flipped me around I smashed my face into the post and breaking my checkbones and cutting my lip real bad. My eye was saved due to my helmet though. My doctors say I would have had been a vegatable without my helmet.
